About
I build the software that runs entire businesses, and I lead the small teams that build it. For over two decades I've designed operational platforms that become the backbone a company runs on, from greenfield architecture through to long-term scale.
As a founding executive at Aunty Grace, I architected the cloud platform now powering a 110-person home care provider serving around 2,000 clients, and I'm still its most prolific code contributor. Across 30 years I've led technology for businesses from 10-person specialists to 150-person enterprises, including a successful acquisition integration with SG Fleet.
I build daily with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, JetBrains Junie, OpenAI Codex), and I lead teams in adopting these tools well: setting the standards and workflow that make a small team genuinely fast, and owning the data sovereignty, privacy and clinical-information risk that comes with putting LLM features into regulated software.
I do my best work as a hands-on leader, close to the architecture and the code, leading small high-leverage teams rather than managing from a distance.
